More Louisville, KY, Spa and Surgical Patients Looking for a "One Stop Shop"

Patients in Louisville, KY are seeking medical spa and facial plastic surgery centers that offer a more complete range of surgical and nonsurgical treatments, as well as options to combine both for better cosmetic results.

Louisville, Kentucky (September 2009) – Women and men increasingly favor cosmetic centers that offer surgery and Louisville, KY medical spa options under one roof, according to Dr. Bradley Calobrace and Dr. Nana Mizuguchi, board-certified plastic surgeons at Calobrace Plastic Surgery Center. The doctors, who partner to offer treatments ranging from BOTOX® Cosmetic to breast augmentation, say patients today are showing a marked preference for centers that offer "comprehensive" options.

"Obviously convenience is the big factor for plenty of patients who are seeking out both surgical and nonsurgical treatments," notes Dr. Calobrace. "However, I think there's also a growing awareness that from the right doctor, a broader range of options can often mean more customized procedures, which can lead to better results and a better investment."

Centers like Calobrace Plastic Surgery, which offers treatments covering the full spectrum from Louisville massage therapies to abdominoplasties and face lifts, are particularly attractive to cost- and time-conscious patients who want to choose from a broader selection of injectables and other nonsurgical treatments. At the same time, Dr. Calobrace and Dr. Mizuguchi say they are also seeing fresh interest from patients looking for better results from their body or facial plastic surgery procedures.

"Patients hear that a laser therapy can help improve the smoothing effects of a face lift, for instance," Dr. Mizuguchi explains. "And after hearing about these combined treatments they make it a priority to find someone who has experience with a wide range of treatments and therapies."

Calobrace Plastic Surgery Center has specialized centers for medical spa treatments (CaloSpa MD), breast enhancements (the Cosmetic Breast Center), and other cosmetic surgery procedures, but they say that even patients who are not planning on a multi-procedure approach will often seek out centers with a broader treatment menu, simply because they feel they will get a more honest and complete assessment of their options.

"Credentials and training still have to come first when patients are selecting a practice," Dr. Calobrace notes. "However, I think right now there's a big emphasis on options because patients recognize that someone who has a high level of training in multiple techniques will be less likely to recommend a 'cookie cutter' approach."

While they note that a broad treatment menu doesn't necessarily indicate a skilled surgeon, Dr. Calobrace and Dr. Mizuguchi believe that a practice offering breast, body and facial plastic surgery in Louisville, KY, along with a full range of nonsurgical treatments, offers its patients a more comprehensive approach to beauty.

"We are constantly expanding our treatment menu with effective ways for patients to enhance their appearance," Dr. Calobrace notes. "That means fine-tuning our options to genuinely reflect what patients need, and what will satisfy their goals."
